Distance Learning Announcements and Updates, 2/19/21
A Message from Principal Ghereben
Thank you for another great week of Distance Learning!
As you know, we have the PikMyKid app for dismissal. If you have not yet downloaded it, please do so ASAP as it's an integral part of our dismissal process. Use this link for the tutorial that was sent out last week: Week 6, Hybrid Prep Video - Dismissal Process with PikMyKid
The next thing you need to download is Frontline Health Portal. The system allows users to access the daily health screener through a website specific to Castro Valley USD (link below) and/or through an app on your phone or other internet device. This is what will be used for the arrival process when we reopen. You can either download the app on your smartphone or use the Frontline Health Portal website: https://app.healthofficeportal.com/SHM_Castro_Valley_Unified_School_District/Portal/Login.aspx. You can also use both interchangeably.
During the weeks of 2/16/21 - 2/26/21, CVUSD schools will be racing to see who can complete full activation first. The CVUSD Race to Health Screener Excellence is a new 2-part friendly competition between our schools. Part I is about which school can get to 98% + first in activating accounts in the Frontline system. Part II begins when we return to school and will last through the end of the school year. It is focused on which school will have the highest % of students per week fill out and submit the daily health screener.
The winner of Part I earns the title School of Frontline Excellence! The winner of Part II earns the coveted Health Screener Cup. The holder of the cup can change weekly, depending on a school’s motivation and % completion. We are aiming for 100% each week.
Let’s show all of Castro Valley that Proctor is committed to keeping everyone safe.
I realize that we are asking you for a lot of help right now as we prepare for our return. Please know that we truly appreciate your partnership in making for a successful and safe reopening. Thank You!
With Much Appreciation,
Heather Ghereben
Proctor Principal
