Principal's Message

Happy Friday Bobcat Families!

Thank you for another great week, albeit shorter than most! It is always a pleasure watching your students and their teachers in action during classroom observations. On Tuesday of next week CRP (Curriculum Remediation Program) begins for students in 1st-5th grades. This program is by invitation only so please check your postal mail for the letters. On Wednesday of next week our PTO will host their first meeting on the year via TEAMS at 6pm. The link is included on the flyer within this newsletter. I look forward to meeting many of you there! Lastly, interim reports will go home on Thursday. Included with those reports will be Fall STAR testing results as well as last Spring's SC Ready & SC Pass scores for students in grades 3-5.

We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday.

Have a relaxing weekend and I'll see you next week!

In Remembrance of 9/11

Big picture

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which triggered major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of George W. Bush.

This year marks the twentieth year of remembrance of the 9/11 attacks. It is our hope that you will take the time to honor the lives that were lost on on September 11, 2001 and take a moment this weekend to recognize the courageous acts of the first responders and personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice 20 years ago. The A.C. Moore Bobcat Family joins with many others across the nation to pay tribute to the contributions of so many who have dedicated their lives to service and to defending our freedom. #neverforget
