History Of Zinc

Discovered in 1746 by Andreas Marggraf, the word Zinc originated from the German word "Zink". Zinc was used in many elements before it became its own element. Zinc was used in wool, and was zinc ores were smelted to create copper.

Zinc is needed for plants and animals to grow, so it can be used in gardens and put in soil. Zinc is not toxic so it isnt dangerous for anyone to use it. To the right, is what the crystal structure of Zinc looks like.
