Annual Wentworth School End of Year Video.... Our Final Feature of Fabulous Fifths!
We are looking for ways to celebrate our fabulous fifths as they wrap up their Wentworth phase under very challenging circumstances. Each week in the Family News we will feature our Fabulous Fifths!
This week our spotlight is on the WHOLE SCHOOL and a special feature of Fifth Grade Students participating in the Wentworth Warrior Challenge.
You may remember this movie Trailer from previous Family Newsletters. Well, here is the final product:
Thank you to Senior Intern Ben Tukey for creating the video for our school. The idea was to show the transition from our closed and empty school last spring to a school filled with the joy of learning. We also wanted to include a little extra emphasis on our fifth graders who are moving on to middle school after only having ONE “complete” year at Wentworth in grade 3! Some folks are calling 2020-2021 ‘the lost year’ but I think this video is evidence that we have all gained plenty despite impossible circumstances.
Our staff have accomplished what many thought would be impossible this year. Not only have we maintained the highest level of safety, with zero in school transmission of COVID-19 for the entire year, our students' social, emotional and academic needs have been nurtured by the most wonderful and dedicated teachers and staff. Our students have persevered, and as you can see from our video, brought the JOY each and every day. Families, thank you for your support and partnership. We are incredibly proud of this school community.
We love you, Wentworth School Community!
Have a safe and glorious summer.

Resources to Keep the Learning Going this Summer
These resources were also sent home with student report cards in paper form, but here are the links to resources your family may choose to access to keep the learning going this summer. Above all, enjoy time as a family to find joy, adventure, rest and recharge. We have ALL worked hard this year!
Change for Change
Special gratitude goes to Mrs. Sullivan and her fourth grade class for leading, organizing, reminding, collecting, and counting the change for change. We could not have done this global service project without your leadership.
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Wentworth has shown that every little bit really CAN make a big difference when we work together.
Remote Summer Meals
The Nutrition team would like to let all parents know that remote meals will continue to
be available throughout the summer, with no gap in services. We will be providing up to 7
days of breakfast and lunch meals each week. All orders can be picked up weekly on
Wednesdays at the Scarborough High School between 8am-6pm. As always, these meals
are available to all children 18 and under, and the child is not required to be enrolled in a
Scarborough school to participate.
Please continue to pre-order your remote meal orders through the Nutrislice app, or email Brenda Franklin at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 207-730-4700 if you forgot to pre-order the meals for the week and would still like to pick up.
If you need any assistance with the Nutrislice application or have any questions, please
contact Brenda Franklin at BFranklin@scarboroughschools.org.
