THE WARRIOR WEEKLY
MAY 1ST, 2017
YOUR BOOK
Only four weeks to go. Wow! It has passed so quickly, and so much has been accomplished during the span of this school year. There is no true way to measure the impact each teacher has made in their classroom on a daily basis, or the impact we have made as a collective team of educators. Each of us have our own story to tell about this school year, and I hope that thought brings a smile to each one of your faces. A school year is not a sprint, but a marathon. There is so much to the profession of education that others, those outside our profession, will never know. One of the true joys is the ability to write each school year as a chapter in the book of your career. Some of us are writing the beginning of a what will be an amazing story, and some of us are completing the final chapters in a beautiful novel. It is easy to lose sight of the pure joy that is education in these final weeks of the year. My hope is that I can remind myself each year to make this year the best chapter in my book. To do so, I must model what I preach and give my all each and everyday until my students walk out the door. My greatest fear is that I may leave too many blank pages in my book, so I will continue to knock down those walls and fill the pages and the chapters of my book. I hope you do the same.
