Sub-Surface mining

Digging tunnels in the ground to find minerals.


Surface mining is much safer but destroys more ecosystems. Sub-surface is more expensive and dangerous.


Drilling into the ground and hitting rocks with high pressure water and cracking them to relese natural gas.
