Holly Academy News & Views
June 3, 2022
Today we had the unique opportunity to welcome our alumni senior graduates at 10:00am and hold our eighth-grade graduation rehearsal at 11:30am. A highlight of every school year is the day we honor our former students who are on the verge of graduating high school. Many of them have changed so much that we hardly recognize them! It's so satisfying to hear about their accomplishments and their next adventures. From those conversations, we moved to the auditorium to prepare our eighth-grade graduates for their big day tomorrow. In what will seem like the blink of an eye, HA will be honoring them as our alumni seniors! We are so lucky that as staff members we get to greet students on their first day of kindergarten, honor them as they leave us, and wish them well as they enter adulthood. Holly Academy is one of a few educational environments where this can occur. It is so great to be a Husky!
Thank you so much to Shannon Meyer for organizing the following volunteers that worked so hard to beautify our campus on the 22nd! Our grounds look fantastic! Power of the Pack!

This week’s awards ceremonies were wonderful! Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and accomplishments this year.
Below are some highlights as we finish out the year:
Our HA5K and Husky Fun Run Obstacle Course is this Saturday, June 4th. Online registration closed at noon on June 2nd. In person registration will be available the day of the race. Race t-shirts will be for sale the morning of the race, for $10, until we run out. Those students who participated in either race can wear their race t-shirts on Monday, June 6th, along with dress down bottoms.
Because last year’s amazingly fun outdoor campus day was such a hit, middle school staff has decided to make it an annual event! ‘Fensington’ will be held on June 6th and will include all 6-8th grade students. Communication was sent earlier this week. Please be sure you read all rules and expectations carefully.
Field Day is June 8th. Our PE teachers have been working hard to make this day special for our students. Detailed information was shared with you earlier this week.
Next week, 5th graders are going on their Mackinac field trip. This will be a bittersweet one, as it will be Ms. Kildee’s last trip there with HA students and staff. We hope everyone has a fabulous time!
With all of the fun activities in our near future, we look forward to wrapping up another successful year! Go Huskies!

The National Inventors Hall of Fame created Camp Invention to inspire future creators and entrepreneurs in a semi-structured environment that provides open-ended STEM activities.
Holly Academy’s camp will happen from 8/8 - 8/12/22.
This year students will explore:
- Marble Arcade: Children zigzag through physics, engineering, and gaming as they build a mega marble arcade!
- Spin Into the ATTIC: Art and STEM combine in this immersive experience with their robotic artist!
- Robotic Aquatics: Children dive into ocean research and adopt their own aquatic animal!
- Spacecation: Inspired by real space exploration, campers create Spacepacks and Astro-Arm devices to help them with glow-in-the-dark lunar discoveries and erupting ice volcanoes!
