Team Pukeko.....A day at the Waikato Museum
Once we were there we were greeted by our fantastic group of parent helpers and our guides for the day, Jennifer and Elaine.
After a quick snack and a briefing in the theatre room, we headed off to our first exhibit of the day, Galileo, Scientist, Astronomer, Visionary.
Each display was explained and demonstrated to us and then we were allowed to explore and play!! The exhibit was very interactive and everyone (teachers and parents too) had so much fun.
After lunch, we split our team into two groups. One group explored the Inventors & Innovations, Waikato Bright Sparks exhibit and the other half of our group jumped into Exscite.
Everybody had such a great time learning through the interactive exhibits, some of our students are even going back again!
A HUGE thank you to our parent helpers, without you this excursion would not have been possible!
Waikato Museum is the first museum in the world to showcase the Galileo exhibit. It is available until the 7th of June - go check it out!
Property Update
The Board of Trustees have shortlisted a group of construction businesses to go through to the pricing stage of our Room 3 and 4 and Room 9 and 10 property refurbishments. From here we will select the successful business.
Playground Closed at Home Time
I would like to thank everyone for their co-operation and support in regard to the playground closing at home time. This week, car parks have been more readily available earlier for parents and caregivers. Let’s keep this up!
