A Word from the Guidance Team

Happy New Year! January is an exciting time at RHS as our seniors are beginning to hear back from colleges, juniors are starting their college search process, and underclassmen are becoming further acquainted with their career goals and academic abilities. On Thursday, December 10th Rahway High School invited 7th and 8th grade students and their families to tour our school and learn about the many academic and extra-curricular offerings. The night was a huge success as we welcomed over 100 prospective students! We look forward to welcoming this bright talent to our school community.

Student Success: AP Celebration & Alumni Tea

On Tuesday, January 5th Rahway High School celebrated the accomplishments of last year's Advanced Placement students. Mr. Peralta and his AP Spanish Language and Culture Class were recognized for their 100% pass rate on last spring's exam. Additionally, eleven graduates from the classes of 2013-2015 participated in a panel discussion and provided insight on their college and career experiences.

  2. Make sure you are using the correct website www.fafsa.gov as the application is ALWAYS free
  3. In order to be considered for state aid, students must always list a NEW JERSEY school first on their FAFSA
  4. To begin the process you may apply now for an FSA ID. Both students and parents may create the FSAID at htts://fsaid.edu.gov. This should be done as soon as possible as it takes time to complete

  • Thursday, January 14th at 6pm
  • Thursday, January 21st at 6pm

Higher Education: PSAT Results

PSAT results are now available to students and families. Students over 13 years of age will be able to view their scores using the online score reporting portal (new feature). The link is https://studentscores.collegeboard.org/. If students provided their email address during testing, they will receive an email reminder from the College Board. If not, they will need to create a new account.
