Travis High School
National Library Week (April 13-17, 2015)
Unlimited Possibilities @ Your Library
Every April, school librarians are encouraged to create activities and events to help their school and local community celebrate the essential role that strong school library programs play in a student's educational career. First sponsored in 1958, National Library Week is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries across the country. It is a time to celebrate the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians and to promote library use and support. All types of libraries -- school, public, academic and special -- participate. (ALA)
Travis High School library has become a place of learning, information gathering and entertainment. In addition, offering access to the tools and technology essential to the economic and cultural lives of our community has been indispensable.
