Every Student, Every Day, Deserves to Learn, Lead, & Excel!
Message from Ms. Perkins
Monday, January 18, 2021, all Gwinnett County Public Schools will be closed in honor and celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. We will return for instruction on Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
Our STEAM Night will take place on Thursday, January 21, 2021. It will look a little different, but we are excited to share with our students how much fun and exciting science, technology, engineering, art, and math can be. Stay tuned for more information.
Have a safe and warm weekend!
Chromebook & Hotspot Return
If your child has switched to become an in-person learner this semester and had a device from Simonton checked out to him/her, please make arrangements for it to be returned.
Students who return devices will receive a free ice cream coupon.
Semester 2 Calendar Updates
The district will add an additional day of teacher planning at the beginning of the semester, which will mean the first day of the semester for students will be January 7, 2021. The second adjustment calls for the addition of four digital learning days during the semester (January 26, March 2, March 16, and April 20). These will be asynchronous learning days where students will learn from home, providing teachers additional days for planning during the semester.

*are awaiting test results; or
*have been in close contact in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID or someone with COVID symptom and who is waiting for test results.
