Assuring Learning Excellence and Readiness for a Changing World
Thank you!
Thank you to our Social Committee for organizing dinner! It was great to be able to have everyone together in the cafeteria.
Thank you to Matt Weichert for all of his work with Student Council in planning and executing a successful Snow Week! Thank you to all of you who volunteered throughout the week in some capacity, especially to those of you who were willing to play volleyball and get up and dance.
Winter Weather - Early Dismissals
On days when school is dismissed early due to inclement weather, all staff (teachers, counselors, secretaries, custodians, paraprofessionals) are expected to remain on duty for 30 minutes after students are dismissed. If you need to leave earlier, please check in with an administrator.
We are also required to keep one third of our staff on duty until the "all clear" is given The "all clear" indicates that all school buses were able to safely deliver students to their homes. This announcement will come from a building administrator over the PA system at West. You will find the rotation and more information in regard to weather dismissals on the staff website.
Champion Students
We can do this...be that adult that never gives up!
Remember how great you are...
Here is what some parents have been sharing about our teachers...
I just wanted to take a few seconds out of your day to thank you for all you do for our kids every day! We know that you spend countless hours outside the classroom so these students have great opportunities. I do believe that having adult role models outside the home influences and inspires them to be more than they thought possible.
I am so proud my son goes to school at West. We could not have asked for a better educational experience.
Staff Meeting
Please bring your device.
They lied. We know.
Thank you to Cambria and Project for Teens for bringing this to our school. There will be a kiosk in the lobby during lunch and at the East/West basketball games this week with information on the dangers of vaping.
