About the Week

We had a BUSY week this week! We finished up our topic on Community Helpers. On Tuesday we went to the Fire Station and learned all about fire safety. We also got a visit from a local farmer. He talked to us about his job and what makes him a community helper. We decided he might be the most important community helper, because he gives us food! Then on Thursday we walked to the post office to mail letters to you guys! And on top of all that we had Ag Day. We went to the park on Hay Racks. We got to pet baby pigs goats, horses, and cows! Whew!

This week we have also started to learn about our second habit, Begin with the End in Mind. We have talked about having a plan to help us reach our goal. The example I used was setting a goal to have a no tally day. We then discussed the steps it takes to get us to the goal.

In math we learned about the numbers 2 and 3. We also reviews some numbers, shapes, and patterns. During Letter Time we met our Alphafriend, Ozzie Octopus and learned all about the letter O.

Next week we will start our topic of study on trees. If your outside this weekend pick up some tree parts ( acorns, pine cones, etc....) to send in, so we can explore them!
