Office Information

School Picture Makeups and Retakes

We will have Makeups and Retakes on the morning of Wednesday, 9/28. If students were absent during the original school picture day, they do not need to bring anything Wednesday. They just need to report to the auditorium when they get to school. If students do not wish to order from either of their poses and wish to have retakes done for ordering, please send an email to kelly@kellybuechlein.com with the reason (didn't like the outfit, hair, smile, etc). Please bring the proof envelope with the $10 retake fee to the auditorium that morning. Checks can be made payable to JMS.

From the JMS Nurse

GJCS will be hosting a Flu Clinic for students in Grades 2-12 on Oct. 7. Please see the pdf for the Registration Form.

More from the JMS Nurse

Great news! Did you know that SchoolCare is a program used by the Greater Jasper Consolidated School nurses and follows the medical confidentiality laws governed by the Indiana Department of Health! Please go to your PowerSchool account and log in, scroll down until you find SchoolCare on the left side of the page. Please click on SchoolCare and register your child so that the school nurse will have the current medical information that you choose to share with her. Also, in both the middle school and high school you are able to give consent for the school nurse to administer Tylenol, Ibuprofen, Midol and Tums in case your child would need it during the school day. When you register your student in SchoolCare please be sure to edit in the OTC Medication section if you choose to give consent for your child to have any or all of the above OTC Medications. If you have any questions please contact Mrs. Buschkoetter at 812-481-4855.

From the Jasper High School Volleyball Team

Jasper Volleyball always makes it a goal to host an awareness night of some sort during our season. The most popular of these is typically "dig pink" nights for cancer awareness. We all know what Dr. Nalley has been going through in recent months, so the team decided to dedicate this year's game to her! Come join us on Wednesday, October 5th as we take on North Posey in our last home game and we RALLY WITH NALLEY!

We will be selling t-shirts for the event along with other activities taking place the night of the game. If you would like to order a t-shirt, I have attached the order form. All proceeds from the game will benefit Dr. Nalley and her family as she sees fit. SHIRT ORDERS ARE DUE BY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH SO DON'T WAIT!

You can print off the form and return it to me at the high school, or just respond to this email and I'll put your name on the list. You can pay cash, check, or Venmo (check out the form for prices and payment options.) If you are paying Venmo, please include your size and shirt color in the comment. Thank you for the support!

Vincennes University Cyber Competition

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. During the month of October, Vincennes University is hosting a cyber competition called, "Don't Feed the PHISH Challenge 2022." This is a great opportunity for your students to expand their knowledge in cybersecurity as everyone plays a critical role in the protection of their own personal data. The challenge event is open to all Vincennes University students and K-12 schools in the state of Indiana. Student teams will consist of 2-4 people and can participate from their classroom or school computer lab. Student teams will craft a Phishing email in an attempt to "fool" a panel of judges representing Vincennes University personnel. The judges will share one common email address in order to protect VU personnel. These judges are cybersecurity professionals from all over the U.S. See the attached PDF for more details.
