Grade 6
As the first Trimester comes to an end, Mrs.DeHaan will meet with the students who are having academic concerns. She will work with these students on how to improve their grades. The Guidance lesson this month is on enduring understanding of conflict resolution and how it involves avoidance, confrontation, and problem- solving. In January we will be moving forward with Goal Setting in Naviance. If students would like to look ahead please see the link here on Moran’s webpage, to see what Naviance is all about.
Grade 7
Once Trimester 1 grades are finalized, Mrs. Barber-Devine will begin meeting with any new students of academic concern. This month's Guidance lesson will use Naviance to connect students' interests to their potential career paths. The career planning tools in Naviance allow students to understand how their strengths, goals, skills, and interests can lead to exciting careers.
Grade 8

Monthly Focus - Understanding Middle School Friendships
Trying to understand friendships in the middle school can be difficult not only for middle-schoolers, but also for parents. As parents, it is so hard to watch our children hurt and struggle with where they fit in. Check out this article on understanding tween friendships.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL! WISHING YOU A HAPPY, HEALTHY NEW YEAR! SEE YOU IN 2017
