Assessment
week 5 discussion 1
"Assessment is not about you as a teacher, it is about your students"
Assessment is all about the students. Giving the students the reason for doing and reading something will make them feel they are appreciated and help them to understand. Like Lopez explains, "it only takes 30 seconds to explain what is needed." To explain or give them direction is what we need to do to get results.
Defending our Assessment Practices
The four questions Lopez revers to should be used in every school, they should be in every classroom for every one to see. If teachers refers to them on a daily basics, all students will be to accomplish their work and feel confidante about their work. Adding assessment in our daily routine will give me and the students the desire to learn.
Making Students you Partner in Assesment
I am not a teacher but, if I was I would want to be a team player and have the student be the best team players they could possibly be. Giving the chance to be part of something will give them pride in their work and they will know they are accept just the way they are. Learning every students skills is very important and should be on every teacher plan when they come into the classroom. Knowing what the student can provide will allow the teacher where they need to direct attention to.
