Alumni Panel Wanted

Alumni Panel Needed! Scituate High School is seeking past graduates who may be currently studying or have a career in the medical or biomedical field. Volunteers are asked to participate in an hour-long panel discussion on May 21st from 8:00-9:00 AM. There will be a group of students in the audience who are currently enrolled in our Biomedical Career and Technical Education Pathway! Technology Student Association RI State Conference (TSA)

On Saturday, May 5th, Scituate High School hosted the 2018 Technology Student Association RI State Conference. Our students competed in a number of events. Congratulations to Ryan Kenny, Dylan Drinkwater, and Sam Lotter who took first place in the VEX EDR Robotics Competition. Congrats to Brendan Machowski who won 1st place in the Graphics Communication event and to Sam Lotter who took 2nd in the CO2 Dragster event. Scituate will also have two students representing us on the Rhode Island TSA Student Leadership team for the coming year. Congratulations to Fagan Hammock and Brendan Machowski for their election to the leadership team! Great job, everyone!

On Tuesday, May 15th, we will be sponsoring our third annual Senior Awards and Scholarship Night. At this event we will be awarding scholarships sponsored by the Scituate Scholarship Foundation and other local sponsors. We would also like to recognize any senior who may have received and award or scholarship from a business, civic organization or club outside of Scituate. Please contact Ms. Kathlyn Coleman, the senior guidance counselor or David Sweet, Assistant Principal by Thursday, May 10th so these recognitions can be included in the program. Advanced Placement Exams Fast Approaching

Reminder AP Students and Families: Students should be preparing for the exam outside of class and avoid cramming. Students should get a full night's sleep before and eat breakfast the morning of the exam. AP students and parent/guardians are required to read the 2018 AP Bulletin (https://apcentral.collegeboard.org/pdf/ap-student-bulletin-2017-18.pdf) prior to test day. All students must show up on time for their exam with two #2 pencils (NO mechanical pencils allowed), two black or blue pens, and an approved calculator if necessary. Athletic Booster Awards Night

Thursday, May 31st, 7pm

94 Trimtown Road

Scituate, RI

On Thursday, May 31st we will host athletes and their families in the auditorium for an awards and recognition evening very similar to past athletic banquets. We will serve light refreshments that you can enjoy whilst listening to the accomplishments of our various outstanding athletic teams. Next year we plan to break this event up into seasonal awards evenings. Smaller, timely celebrations will be a nice way to cap off a season and will allow us to be more creative with the presentations.

Congrats to Scituate Softball's Haley Venturini for being named Projo's Player of the Week!! This does not even include yesterday's 17 strikeout win...WOW!!
