Items to Note
In-person students are expected to be on campus and virtual students are expected to log in daily in Google Classroom and Google Meets for attendance. Vacations will not be counted as excused absences for either group of students.
Cheating and plagiarism is not acceptable for in-person or virtual learners. This could result in receiving a zero as well as campus disciplinary actions.
Please note that the Student Dress Code, according the PISD Student Code of Conduct, will be enforced on campus as well as at all school functions (this is includes face coverings). Students will be required to correct the dress code violation, and if not corrected, will be required to leave school property.
Daily Health Screener
This is a reminder to review our Daily Health Screener every morning before sending your child to school.
To find the direct link to the Health Screening Questionnaire, click here.
If you respond "Yes" to any of the questions on the screening form, please scroll down and click "Reynolds" to complete the questionnaire. This questionnaire will be sent to our campus nurse, and she will reach out to you as soon as possible.
Here you can find information on what your RMS counselors will be up to throughout the year. We will include upcoming guidance lessons, resources and events on this page as well.
After Hours Reporting for Potential Threat of Self-Harm
Download the Prosper ISD App. Click on Tip411. Enter tip. You will receive a message back through the app once the message is received.
No Tech Tuesdays & Thursdays
In an effort to lower screen time and encourage students to unplug and engage with one another, we will be moving to No Tech Tuesdays & Thursdays, before school and during lunch.
Wear Yellow on Wednesdays
Reynolds is proud to be part of a district and nation wide program called Hope Squad . The program is a collection of peer-nominated students who will be trained to recognize other students who are experiencing emotional distress, and to take action to get them the help they need.
We also work to create a culture of inclusiveness. One way we do this is to wear yellow, the color of suicide prevention awareness, every Wednesday. Hope Squad t-shirts are on sale now at the myschoolbucks website.
- If you have multiple students in the district make sure you are ordering for the correct student. Shirts will be shipped to the campus.
- Shirts are $10.
- List your 8th period teacher as the advisory teacher for shirt distribution when they arrive to campus.
Attendance for Virtual Learners
- All Virtual teachers must mark the student either Present or Absent.
- When (S) Remote Sync. Present or (R) Remote Async. Present has been entered into Skyward a "Positive" attendance marking is created.
- When ANY Attendance Markings are added to Skyward, the parent is notified of the updates to their students account-including when they are PRESENT.
- If the parent views the Attendance Tab on the Parent Skyward account they should see the codes mentioned above S, R or Absent.
- If you see Remote Sync Present or Remote Async. Present in the explanation for the attendance detail this is NOT ABSENT, but a "Positive" attendance marking for their virtual class.
We are thrilled to now have a curbside library that will allow virtual learners to check out library books just like their in-person peers. See flyer below.
SFE To Go
Please see the graphic below for mobile lunch order information. Parents can order lunch for your child through SFE by 7:00 am the same day, then your child can pick up their lunch without waiting in the line!

Need to Know
Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about the 2020-2021 school year. You can also review the District's Instructional Plan and updates HERE.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Due to the statewide order issued by Governor Abbott, face coverings are required for every individual on campus. This includes face masks and shields that cover the mouth and nose.
Students and staff will not be allowed into class without a face covering.
Face coverings are now noted in the Student Code of Conduct Dress Code.
Social distancing will be enforced to the best of our ability at all times.
This includes classrooms, hallways (one way halls where appropriate), restrooms, and cafeteria.
There will be additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the school, as well as in each classroom. This will encourage routine hand hygiene.
We will provide sanitization education to all students on the first day of school and provide continuing education throughout the year.
This will include:
Guidance on how to clean their personal area every day after use
The clinic is set up with a well and sick area.
All students in the clinic must wear a face covering.
When a student reports or displays symptoms indicative of COVID-19, the school nurse will provide a clinical assessment to provide appropriate care and determine if and when a student needs to be sent home.
Students who are symptomatic will be separated from their peers and should be picked up within 30-60 minutes from the time the campus contacts the parent/guardian.
Students in the same class as this student will be removed from the classroom and taken to an alternate location on campus (e.g. go on a walk outside, move to a different classroom, etc.) so that the classroom/s can be disinfected.
Self-serve counters have been eliminated.
"Grab and Go" meals will be the norm.
We will maximize space between students during lunch.
There is added time between lunches so that all tables can be sanitized appropriately
Arrival and Dismissal
*Please see our arrival/dismissal maps HERE.
In an effort to promote social distancing, we are encouraging student drop off to be no earlier than 7:40am.
6th and 8th Grade should be dropped off in the library loop on the north side of campus.
7th Grade should be dropped off in the back cafeteria loop on the southeast side of campus.
There will be a staggered dismissal to help with social distancing. This will not affect the time in which they need to be picked up.
All car riders are expected to be picked up in the library loop on the north side of campus.
What does Secondary Virtual Learning look like?
Students participating in virtual learning will be required to log on at specific times throughout each day. For example, secondary students would log on at 8am and be given an independent work time then log back on for the next block of instruction. Screen time breaks are built in throughout the school day based on each student’s individual schedule of classes.
What does synchronous and asynchronous mean for my child?
Synchronous - students check in at specific times each day (according to their class schedule in Skyward) to meet with the teacher and work on assignments (example - Math class starts at 9am each day and the student must check in through google at that time each day).
Asynchronous - students check in with teachers throughout each day and work on assignments on their schedule. Assignments have due dates and teachers will require certain meetings but students do not have to check in at a specific time each day.
What is the required Learning Time for Virtual Students?
TEA is requiring 240 minutes (4 hours) of learning time per day in either in-class time or independent work. Most of this work will be done synchronously with a virtual teacher.
Students will be responsible for their specific Chromebook at all times. Students will be expected to take Chromebooks home every night for homework and to recharge.
Can parents drop off lunches and materials to school?
At this time, we will allow drop-offs to the front foyer of Reynolds. We are restricting visitor entrance into the building past the foyer during school hours, unless deemed "essential". No food delivery services will be allowed (ie. UberEats).
NOTE: We are removing all microwaves in the cafeteria
What school supplies will my child need?
Our school supply list has not changed for each grade level, but we will greatly limit the amount of shared supplies students use in the classroom. We will work with students to ensure they have the needed supplies necessary for school.
