Notre Dame Awards

The Notre Dame Awards package is now available. The deadline to apply is May 28. Every grade 12 student should apply even if taking a gap year! Please make copies of the Student Profile sheet and the Teacher Recommendation form for your submission. Submit your Notre Dame Awards application online using the google form.

Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation & myBlueprint Bursaries

The Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation’s $150,000 investment is being divided into 25 bursaries, each worth $6,000 each. Students attending post secondary programs in Canada with FINANCIAL NEED, where this FINANCIAL NEED is a huge barrier to attending post secondary, are eligible to apply.

Red Deer College - New Student Bursary Opportunity!

Bursaries are distributed to students who demonstrate financial need. These bursaries will be awarded on a first-eligible basis, meaning that students who meet the eligibility criteria will receive bursaries in the order their applications are received. Full-time students could receive up to $1,500 and part-time students could receive up to $750. The bursaries will be distributed as tuition credits and cannot exceed the actual costs associated with a recipient’s program. Students in credit level certificate, diploma and degree programs will be eligible to access this bursary - everyone is encouraged to apply. (Trades are not eligible for this bursary).

Piper Creek Optimist Club of Red Deer's Scholarship For Young Volunteers Young Leader Award

Are you a student in Red Deer looking for a scholarship or bursary to help with your education? The Piper Creek Optimist Club of Red Deer is pleased to introduce the Young Leader Award, aimed at recognizing and rewarding young adults in Red Deer who are engaged in their community. The Young Leader Award will award a $1,000 bursary towards a post-secondary or furthering education program to one eligible Red Deer Student. The successful recipient is someone who is graduating in 2021, displays an aptitude for volunteering/giving back, and has a desire to be a community leader.

MHC Venture Start Up | Presented by RAYEC is an entrepreneurship program for youth that are not only interested in learning about business but putting their ideas into action. The Venture Start Up has been developed by Medicine Hat College (MHC) with the support of RBC. The program provides theory, skill development, mentorship and practical experience. Youth learn the business concepts in an online environment but create and run a business in their local community.

Red Deer College’s Next Steps Online Presentations

With the transition of many schools to online learning for different periods of time, RDC has decided to offer several virtual "Next Steps Presentations". All students planning to attend RDC in the fall should participate in one of these sessions to learning about course registration and other important pieces of information. Presentations will last approximately one hour and are as follows: April 29: 12:00pm - 1:00pm April 30: 11:30am - 12:30pm May 3: 11:30am - 12:30pm May 4: 6:00pm - 7:00pm May 5: 11:40am - 12:40pm Notre Dame students are welcome to attend whichever session will work best. For students going to the U of A in the fall, Registration 101 sessions are now available. Sign up for a faculty specific session or a general session to: Learn how to navigate the Bear Tracks system for course selection and registration. Destination UBC (Virtual)

Canadian students admitted to UBC for Fall 2021 are invited to the virtual Destination UBC. Going to University is a big decision. This event is designed to help students identify whether UBC is the right fit for them. The two-week long event will run from April 24 to May 7 and will feature a series of social activities, faculty sessions, campus tours, info sessions and events for parents.

By completing this application, students are assessed for all RDC entrance awards with the exception of the Building on Excellence Award. In order to complete the General Awards Application, students must first apply to RDC and receive their Loop credentials.
