Students worked with seniors answering questions and offering tips on how to get the most out of their cell phones, laptops and tablets. Spring 2023 Service Project
Each school year LVMS participates in a "Spring Into Service" activity. This year, for the month of April, students can volunteer to take part in Color A Smile. Color A Smile is a nonprofit organization that distributes cheerful drawings to senior citizens, our troops overseas, and anyone in need of a smile. Every month, the organization sends thousands of new drawings to all the people on their mailing list. Kids, teens, and adults of any age can volunteer to color and help us spread smiles. Each homeroom has a set of coloring pages available along with some basic instructions. Have fun this month coloring and brighten someone's day!
Mark your calendar! Monday, April 17th at 7:00 PM at Cucinella is the rescheduled date for our Parent and Community Presentation from Mr. Richard Guerry. Please feel free to access some digital materials from Mr. Guerry on responsible and safe online and cell phone usage.

Sponosred by the Long Valley Junior Women's Club, 2023 will be the start of the 24th annual LVJWC Middle School Photo Contest. Students are asked to submit digital photos of specific categories. Deadline to submit pictures is April 29th.

Boys Baseball
Thank you to all that participated in tryouts last week. The final roster has been posted to the Baseball Google Classroom.
Practices will begin this week after school. The first game will be this Thursday versus Mendham Township Middle School.
Girls Softball
Softball practices will begin this week after school. The first game will be this Thursday versus Mendham Township Middle School.
Boys and Girls Track and Field
Boys and Girls spring track practice will take place this week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of this week from 3:30-4:30. Please bring your running gear, and don't forget a water bottle as it is going to be warm this week.

Sponsor a Staffer for Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner. The LVMS PTA will be honoring our teachers and staff for the huge role they play in our children’s lives. We are planning an entire week of treats from May 8-12 for our amazing staff and can use your help!

Help Wanted - Board Elections in June
On May 3 we will be accepting nominations for the 2023-2024 PTA Board, with elections at our June 7 meeting. All positions are open - President, VP, Treasurer, Membership, Secretary and Communications. There will be some Committee vacancies as our 8th grade parent volunteers leave their posts.
