Gallery Education Experience
Art Gallery of Ontario: Family Program Co-ordinator, Toronto 1999-2006
Responsible for the design, development and implementation of educational art programs for families including school tours, an interactive children’s gallery, studio classes, and large scale special event days at the gallery.
Worked in a team environment with curatorial staff to implement the mandate of the exhibition program
Hired, trained and supervised a staff of 9 educators and volunteers.
Identified potential funding sources and prepared grant applications
Wrote copy for brochures, consulted on graphic design and collaborated on developing communications and marketing plans
McMichael Canadian Art Collection: Public Programmer, Toronto 1998-1999
Within the Education Department was responsible for public programs at the gallery including adult courses and lectures, Artist in Residence, summer camps, studio classes and Family Days
Managed budgets, prepared reports and maintained statistical data related to program activities
