I hear the word polity and I think of politics. Politics directly relates to government, and a polity is an organized society with a specific form of government.
WATCH OUT FOR
Polity is similar to the word politic. Understand that these are two different words with two different definitions. To differentiate the two, I remember that politic is an adjective. Someone can be politic, but there is no such thing as a politic.
