The meaning of sickle cell anemia- sickle cell anemia is a server hereditary form of anemia in which a mutated form of hemoglobin distorts the red blood cells into a crescent snap at low oxygen levels it is most common among African Americans.

Anemia- SIckle cells are very fragile.
Episodes of pain- Periodic episodes of pain.
Hand and foot syndrome- Swollen hands and feet is the first sign of sickle cell anemia.
Frequent infections- Sickle cell anemia can damage your spleen.
Delayed growth- Red blood cells provide your body with oxygen and nutrients you need for growth but if you don't have them then you will have a delayed growth.

You have to manage emotions also social impacted and might look a little different and you might need to go on a diet.

With sickle cell anemia you only live up to 50 years.
