Art
Students are creating some outstanding still-life paintings and drawings with remarkable accuracy. I am always amazed at the talent here at Chimborazo.
Fourth and fifth grade students are involved in a project to paint murals on ceiling tiles. The tiles include themes that reflect classroom learning across all grade levels. So far three of the tiles are complete and five more are in process.
Last Week, I was honored to be invited to an exhibition to see the fine art by Erin Dinan Howard, painter extraordinaire and the mother of Petrus, our former student and daughter, Lonan, who is in Pre-K.

P.E.
Physical Education is an important part of a growing a healthy body and brain! The emphasis on motor skills, anatomic movement, fitness planning, social development, and energy balance ensure that students have experiences to help them develop a positive attitude for leading a healthy, active, lifestyle. Learning good sportsmanship is another added benefit to participation in any P.E. activity. As the weather gets colder, it is still important to stay hydrated and keep active.
In October, some 5th grade students were able to participate in First-Tee, a golf competition in which Chimborazo won 3rd place overall. Way to go Jaguars!
