Class Update
October 26, 2018
Math
We have finished up first quarter math. I went over the missed items from the 1st quarter CFA with your child today. They all did really well. Monday we will work on the "Paint Your Bedroom Projects". Thanks to all of you who helped your child with their measurements. Next quarter, math will begin with double-digit multiplication and follow it up with long division.
ELA
This week we finished up Fairy Tale writing and had time to flex our writing skills with some Fall and Halloween tales. We also practiced some close reading with information on spiders, pumpkins, ghosts, and Vampire Bats, oh my! EOQ's are complete and the scores were what I expected for most. The reading EOQ differs from the math in that it is based on all the skills taught for the entire year, not just 1st quarter so we should see improvement on scores throughout the year.
