ADMINISTRATION UPDATE
Dear CCS Friends and Families,
Today, the CCS PTO and the families of our 5th and 6th graders treated our staff to a delicious Staff Luncheon. These Friday luncheons throughout the year not only fill our plates, but fill our hearts! At this time of year especially, we like to focus on and appreciate the kind actions of others and this is truly a kindness extended to our staff by our school community.
Our middle school students and families have also demonstrated acts of giving and sharing as they compiled Holiday Food Baskets which were delivered to the Charlotte Food Shelf this week. This is an annual effort for CCS, with our elementary students creating baskets in November and middle school students creating them in December.
Omega students have also had a full week with a celebration of learning with students sharing their Personal Interest Projects followed by their winter band and chorus concert on Monday night. This was a great celebration of learning and accomplishment!
We recognize that this is a very busy time of year for students and families! We sincerely appreciate your availability and support of everything that happens here at CCS.
Warm Regards,
Stephanie, Jen and Cassandra

REMINDER TO PARENTS REGARDING NOTES FOR AFTER SCHOOL PLANS
As you know the first half of the school year is winding down. In preparation for the second half of the year, with its many and often new after school activities, we will be discarding all notes that we are currently holding for after school plans. This will enable us to start fresh on January 2nd. Please write new notes for any bus changes or after school plan changes. We appreciate your clear communication to ensure we send the kids in the right direction after school. Thanks so much.

2019-2020 KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Dear Charlotte Families and Pre-School Providers,
We are writing to inform you that Charlotte Central School will be opening our Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-2020 school year starting December 3, 2018. Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is asking families to register their Kindergartners earlier this year, in an effort to get more accurate enrollment numbers for our schools. These enrollment numbers help us to plan our staffing needs for the upcoming school year and help us to coordinate our site visits for placement in the Spring.
Naomi Strada, Administrative Assistant to the Principals, coordinates registration for CCS and she is looking forward to hearing from you! You can contact Naomi at 802-425-6600. Please do not email as she will need additional information about your child(ren) and for you to select a time for the February 6th screening date. Once an appointment has been made, Naomi will mail you all the necessary paperwork. Vicki Nelson (our K-2 school counselor), Tanya Vyhovsky (School Services Clinician) and Stephanie Sumner (PreK-4 Principal) are happy to help families complete the paperwork, just let us know how we can help you.
We are looking forward to meeting our new Kindergarten students and families at our Kindergarten Screening Days (February 6, 2019) and Kindergarten Visiting Day (May 24, 2019) in the Spring! This is such an exciting time for you and your child, and we are happy to be a part of this experience with you.
Sincerely,
Stephanie Sumner, PreK-4 Principal
