Random Acts of Kindness
So, what is a Random Act of Kindness (RAK)?
A Random Act of Kindness is giving your best self to others without expecting something in return. Random Acts of Kindness day is February 17. Enjoy the resources shared below in order to incorporate more kindness into your classroom!

Strategies for Developing Classroom Friendships
2. Direct Instruction - Sometimes students need to learn about critical social skills that are necessary to develop friendships. This can be done through role playing or group discussions.
3. Bridge Home and School - Parents and teachers can work together to promote an interest in school friendships. Encourage parents to ask about who the children interact with at school.
4. Activities Outside the Classroom - Encourage involvement in community activities so that children can see classmates outside of the classroom.
5. Don't Pressure Children - Encourage classmates to say kind things to each other and be good to their classmates, but do not force friendships. Some times they may become friends and other times they may just stay classmates, and that is okay.
