Principal's Message
Dear Hallinan Families,
As November flies by, and Thanksgiving is almost upon us, it seems the perfect time to share our "What I'm thankful for...." bulletin board created by our very artistic staff member Tanya. Students wrote what they are...... yep you guessed it..... thankful for on leaves to create this very interactive mural. Most of our students are thankful for friends and family; pets rank pretty high on the list; and, I loved seeing music, art, sports and stuffies listed too.
Thank you for sharing your children with us - we are grateful to be part of their learning experience. Your partnership and collaboration make Hallinan an incredible community. I am honored and grateful to be here.
I hope you have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving.

LHS Music Assembly
The Lakeridge High School Music Department came for a visit today - and boy were we in for a most amazing musical treat! The Choir, directed by Bill Campbell, sang Superstitious and danced while singing Baby One More Time. The Orchestra, directed by Kristina Stingle, performed Music from The Avengers. And, the Band, directed by Daniel Hartley performed Frozen. We enjoyed every minute of it! And, it was so fun to see how many of the LHS students were Hallinan alumni. We thanked them with a big Hallinan You Are Awesome Cheer! I've included a few photos below.

History Bee!
The Who Was? History Bee is a new competition that will take place in classrooms over the next month. Students in grades 3-5 are eligible to participate. This trivia-style competition takes its questions directly from the Who Was? book series. Students who choose to participate in this competition will take a quiz in their classroom during the week of November 28th. The top 10 finishers from that quiz will compete for the school-wide championship the week of December 12th. Here is a Study Guide that can help you and your child get prepared.
Spelling Bee!
Students in Grades 4 and 5 can also participate in the Spelling and Vocabulary Bee. Classroom competitions are held in January, with the top two spellers from each class competing in the School-wide competition in February. Study lists are being shared with students via their school-issued Google Accounts.
Picture Retake Day is 12/2
