Message from Dr. Frischkorn
Hello Mayfield Intermediate School Community!
Happy Thanksgiving to our Mayfield community! As we approach our Thanksgiving break next week I just wanted to share some of the many things that I'm thankful for as principal of Mayfield Intermediate School
- I'm thankful for our students who have been able to adapt to the new virtual online learning and continue to show up to their virtual classes on a daily basis in order to continue to learn and grow.
- I'm thankful for our parents who have become an even more integral part to their child's success. Your ongoing support of your child is helping make sure that learning continues regardless of if we are online or in-person. Being a parent is not an easy task during this pandemic and so many of you have done such a great job at becoming that support for our students.
- I'm thankful for our teachers who have completely flipped how students are taught in such a short period of time. Our teachers have been studying and learning different types of technology and finding ways to support our students and families during this pandemic.
- I'm thankful for our educational support staff who make sure that all of our students and families are taken care of. This group includes our custodians, administrative assistants, cafeteria staff, translator and school safety officers.
- I'm thankful for our school counseling department that continues to make sure that our students have the emotional support that is required during the pandemic.
- I'm thankful for our technology support who is able to make sure that our students and teachers have technology that is up-to-date and functioning properly.
- I'm thankful for the support of our School Board who is always looking to make sure that our community and staff is taken care of.
Always Learning!

A Reason to Celebrate!
"I hope you've had a great week. I just wanted to share that even though we are WELL into November, my students still have almost perfect attendance. In all three of my classes, my students come to class each day and they have been SO incredible since the first day of school. The are engaged, inquisitive and they participate during live instruction each day. I'm so proud of them! "-Ms. Porter
I would like to reiterate what Ms. Porter said. We are incredibly proud of the hard work that this class, as well as many other classes, have put into our virtual learning. Keep up the great work!
