Stellar Bulletin February14th-18th

LCAP

Dear Parents,

We value your input. Part of what makes Stellar so great is your willingness to be involved. Your input and insight helps Stellar become even better! We are particularly interested in your thoughts on this schools efforts to promote academic success and the social-emotional well-being for every student.

Each year the school either writes, edits, or revises it's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP). These stakeholder meetings are one of the opportunities we have to share what our plan is, how our stakeholders are supporting us, and what things our parents, students, staff and community members wish we could do more of or add to our programs and services. Please consider joining us at the meetings listed below and/or at a monthly PAC meeting.

We hope to see you there!

Free AT HOME COVID-19 Testing Kits at Stellar for Students Available for a Limited Time!

The state has donated one COVID-19 test kit per student to be used upon returning to school from winter break. The tests come two per box with instructions. The tests are meant to be spread out over 3 to five days. Sometimes viral load is not enough the first time you take the test, so waiting a few days and taking it again you may get different relsults. The instructions detail how to give and report the test. These are not mandatory.

Remember if your student has any symptoms or has been exposed to COVID-19, then please stay home and wear a mask when others are present. Follow quarantine or isolation instructions from ShastaReady.org.

Thank you! We want to continue to have students in onsite classes safely.

Redding Performing Arts Center

We've had a wonderful semester at Redding Performing Arts Center with your students! Our high school Performance Theatre students performed Almost, Maine, our Children’s Theatre students performed How I Became a Pirate, and our Youth Theatre Class presented Jingle Jury last week. Private lesson students and our music ensembles have performed in monthly recitals and Christmas concerts. It's been an exciting time at RPAC!

Coming up next semester, we're presenting The Rainbow Fish with the Children’s Theatre, Dr. Doolittle with our Youth Theatre students, and Hello, Dolly with our High School Performance Theatre class. Our private lessons, music, and dance programs continue to grow, and we'd love to have your students jump in on the Spring Semester fun. We will also be adding some new classes including visual art. Please find our Spring 2022 brochure attached, as well as a flyer with our upcoming production announcements. Feel free to pass along this brochure to families who might be interested in joining us!

We look forward to our continued partnership with you, your families, and your students!

Best,

Brandon Baumann and Brenna Yeary
