2nd Grade Happenings - April 27th

What's Happening?


This week, there will be spelling homework and reading logs.


We are MAP testing. Please make sure your child is on time to school every day!


Make sure to sign your child's behavior note that is coming home every day!


Social Studies - We are studying animals' habitats.

- We are answering questions about informational pieces.


Math - We are learning to tell time to the nearest 5 minutes.


**Important Information**

For your reading log, your child may read to themselves, to you, or a sibling. Remember we need to be reading 20 minutes every night.

Homework

**Homework only goes with the spelling words!*


Monday - Write each spelling word three times


(Escribe cada palabra tres veces.)


Tuesday - Rainbow Words! Write your words in pencil then trace them with crayons, markers or colored pencils or illustrate the words.


(Palabras de arco iris! Escribe las palabras de deletrear por lapis. Despues, traza las palabrass con los creyones, marcadores, o lapices de colores.)


Wednesday - Write a sentence for each spelling word, each sentence should be at least 5 words long. You should have one sentence for each word. Underline the Spelling word in each sentence.

Thursday - Write you words one time each in your fanciest handwriting. Study for Spelling Test.
