All Saints Outreach News
June 2022
This month I would just like to express my appreciation for all those involved in our food ministries at All Saints. Kudos to the team of volunteers that keeps All Saints Delivery Food Bank running. It truly takes a village to manage inventory, track donations and deliveries, schedule drivers, pack and deliver food. This also includes our parish gardeners who supplement our boxes with fresh produce throughout the summer. Our food bank guests and community appreciate your dedication. I'm also in awe of our dynamic duo who run the Backpack Program. They coordinate with area schools and fulfill every request with a smile! The All Saints School 8th graders (see below) are a big help as well. Finally, although much of their work takes place behind the scenes, we are grateful to our Sister Myrna's Manna teams who make sandwiches for New Hope. If you'd like to be involved in feeding the hungry, let us know. We are thankful for all those give hands-on help, but also for those who donate food or funds to keep these programs viable.

Thank you for your donations last December to the CCS/CHS annual appeal. All Saints received $5,550.25 to help with our homelessness prevention program.
We are thankful for The Norcliffe Foundation. All Saints Community Services recently received a $2,000 grant to assist families in need.
We are excited to be partnering again with the Puyallup School District/United Way to help school district families with the Children's Emergency Fund. This fund provides assistance to families throughout the summer months.

Caring for God's Creation
We have a parishioner at All Saints who is interested in connecting with other parishioners or school families to form a team to explore how we can better care for God’s creation (as a parish, school, and community). If you or someone you know are interested in taking part, contact Morningstar at the parish office.
Here are a few ways Catholics are doing just that in our archdiocese and world:

Many of these movements were inspired by Laudato Si by Pope Francis
Catholic Community Services/Catholic Housing Services
Last month Catholic Community Services & Catholic Housing Services released their 2021 Annual Report.
With over 180 programs across Western Washington, our local Catholic Charities served our neighbors in need with compassion, creativity, and unrelenting hope. Thanks to amazing church partnerships, passionate staff, and unwavering volunteers, CCS/CHS accompanied people and communities struggling with poverty and hardship.
As you review the impact of our collective efforts in this Gratitude Report, we hope you see how your prayers, donations, and advocacy changed lives. On behalf of the tens of thousands of people served by CCS/CHS each year, we say thank you for your support. God Bless!
