Gingerbread House Decorating
We will be decorating gingerbread houses on this Thursday, December 18th from 11:00 to 12:00. A permission form and ingredient list was sent home on Monday. Please return the permission form as soon as possible. Students will not be able to participate without a permission form.
Don't forget that all parents are invited to attend! Please indicate on the permission form if you will be attending. We hope you will be able to join us for this fun event!
Icing for Gingerbread Houses
Please remember that each student will need their own container of white icing (any brand) to decorate their gingerbread house. Please write your child's name on the container and send it in as soon as possible! Thank you!

Reading: We are continuing to study nonfiction texts. We will be focusing on using the features of nonfiction texts to help us learn more. We will practice using the table of contents, glossary, photographs, and captions as we read!
Math: We will complete our topic on subtracting double digit numbers using mental math.
Writing: We will continue our author mentor study of Kevin Henkes as we write personal narratives.
Social Studies: We will continue our study on economics. Students will describe how people in a community use productive resources, create a variety of businesses and industries, specialize in different types of jobs, and depend on each other to supply goods and services.
