MASK WEARING (A Review)
The Hill Top Clinical Staff has seen all of your hard work on maintaining mask wearing, however, here is another reminder on why, how, when to wear one and how to adapt.
WHY?
• Students, staff, parents, siblings, EVERYONE is at risk of COVID-19
• Wearing a mask prevents the spread of germs
HOW?
• Cover your nose AND mouth
• When taking off your mask at appropriate times, make sure to take good care of it
WHEN?
• Also means wearing a mask on buses while driving to school, during school hours, and while on the ride home on the bus
• If a Hill Top staff member allows a mask break, please take care of your mask! This means place it in a safe and clear space where you will not lose it or get it dirty
• Finally, wash/change your mask frequently to prevent the spread of germs.

Anxiety and Masks
How to Manage Anxiety Surrounding Masks...
- Regulate your breathing. Take slow, deep breaths in your nose and out your mouth
- Get comfortable with your mask. Practice wearing it at home for short periods of time and taking breaks if you feel anxious. Try building up to longer periods of time.

Unity Day
Hill Top students were encouraged to wear orange on Unity Day on Wednesday, October 21st. The community united together to spread awareness for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion.
The middle school students also painted stones orange to place around campus with positive messages. The students were reminded of small gestures they could always do to spread positivity and be kind.
That's all for now!
