The Third Grade Team

Learning Targets

A Learning Target is the desired goal of each task in which your child will actively be involved. In addition, it engages your child in reflective evaluation of their own performance.

Readers Workshop:

We will review a wide variety of reading comprehension skills, especially inferring, so that we can perform our best on the STAAR test next week! I'll know I have it when I can accurately answer comprehension questions.

Writer's Workshop:

We will explore the genre of expository writing so that we can prepare to meet expectations for 4th grade. I'll know I have it when I can draft, revise, edit, and publish about a favorite object.

Social Studies:

We explore the concept of good citizenship so that we can understand the importance of the role that everyday people can play in their communities. I'll know I have it when I can describe the traits of a good citizen and provide examples.

Math Workshop:

We will review math concepts that we have learned throughout the year.
