Learning Targets
Readers Workshop:
We will review a wide variety of reading comprehension skills, especially inferring, so that we can perform our best on the STAAR test next week! I'll know I have it when I can accurately answer comprehension questions.
Writer's Workshop:
We will explore the genre of expository writing so that we can prepare to meet expectations for 4th grade. I'll know I have it when I can draft, revise, edit, and publish about a favorite object.

Are you a stay-at home parent who volunteers for a cause or left an interesting career? Parents, friends, or relatives are all welcome to participate.

Extra Practice
STRIDE is a program that all 3rd graders at Beck have access to. By logging on with their username and password, students have access to differentiated practice in math, reading, and language arts.
Log on at Home!
We highly recommend that students use this program for extra practice at home! To log on from home, your child can visit texas.stridestart.com.
Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions!
Games as a Reward
All students have completed pre-assessments on STRIDE that help the program determine your child's greatest areas of need. When questions are answered correctly, your child earns coins which can be redeemed to play fun games through the website.
Volunteer Opportunities
*Please note that all chaperones for field trips must have a completed volunteer background check on file.
