Massage Therapy for Cancer Patients

Is massage therapy safe?
A massage can help ease the effects of cancer on the body! Massage Therapy research with cancer patients has shown that the benefits of massage can be:
- Decrease pain
- Increase white blood cells
- Decrease nausea in patients undergoing chemotherapy
- Less depression

Oncology Massage Clinic Day
We are offering two 60 minute massage session clinic appointment times: 11:00 am and 1:15 pm.
Our instructor, Karandi Blimes, LMT, MLD holds certifications in Lymphatic and Oncology Massage. She teaches the ABQ School of Massage students how to compassionately work with patients suffering from the effects of cancer. She will be directly supervising the massage appointments in the clinic this day.
The cost of the treatments is a donation to the school.
