Taxes,tips and mark ups
Taxes are the percent that is paid in addition to the bill. Taxes vary in many different occasions. Taxes paid by people go to the government and then pay for them building buildings like schools, offices, houses or businesses.
Tips are a addition to the bill but you give it too the laborer like a waitress or dog groomer. Mark ups are were the business person needs to make money and ups the price a little bit and earns a profit back.
Discounts
Discounts are the percent taken from a bill. They can come in newspapers, electronic massage or clippings. They lower the original amount and you pay less money. The discount usually is in between 10% to 70%.
Commission
Commission is money made off of something. It is a percent of a number. Like money you get if your a car salesmen or realtor, you get part of the money you get from selling the item.
Mark ups
I searched on the internet and I bought a one direction sweater on amazon for $25.50 and sold it for 30% mark up or $7.65 and the resale price is $33.15.
Discount
Before a concert I buy merchindise. I went to justice and found the shirt for $30.00 but brought a coupon for 30% and got $9 off so I paid $21.00.
Taxes and tips
I went to nandos and got a full meal with a medium drink. The bill came to 13.75,but the tax in summit county is 6.75% so I had a tax of .93 and the total is 14.68.
The waitress that served me was absolutly great so I gave him a 20% tip of 2.93.
Commission
The t-shirt shop down the road from me gave me shirts to sell and for everyone I sold I got 20%. I sold 13 shirts for $15.00 and I got $39.00 in commission.
