Smith Family Newsletter
We believe in the power of school and family partnerships.
Message from Ms. Rivera
Welcome to this month's edition of our family newsletter. February is fun because we have lots of activities for everyone. Come out and cheer on our teachers as they play in the MISD Elementary Volleyball Tournament on Friday at 6:00 at Magnolia Junior High. We are the reigning champs, so we want to bring the trophy back home! The entrance fee is a canned good to donate.
We also have the Father Daughter dance on the 11th, and we will have a Mother Son event in April. I also hope you can make it out to our next Raising Readers Family Library Night on February 16th. You can visit the book fair, take part in activities around the school, and eat some warm chicken soup in the cafeteria. See the Upcoming Events section for more information.
If you have any questions or feedback, contact me at drivera@magnoliaisd.org, visit our website, and follow us on Twitter @CedricSmithElem and on Facebook.
PTO News
PTO's next event is our annual Father Daughter Dance, which will be on Saturday, February 11th from 6:00 to 8:00. CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS. Tickets can also be purchased at the event, but you can order ahead to skip the line. The $15 ticket includes entrance for an adult and child, a photo, and food and drinks. The tickets are $10 for each additional child. Every daughter is welcome with a special guest, whether the guest is dad, grandpa, big brother, or mom. We just want everyone to have a great time. The theme is the 80s, so break out your parachute pants and sunglasses at night! We hope to see you there!
