New Kindergarten Teacher
We interviewed several AMAZING candidates and it was a grueling decision. We hired Kirsten Miller for our new Kindergarten teacher. Thank you K Team for your many hours after school interviewing. Kirsten is graduating from Mizzou this spring and will join our team in August.
GRADE LEVEL CHANGES (AS OF NOW)
THINGS COULD STILL CHANGE BASED ON ENROLLMENT NUMBERS THIS SUMMER AND STAFF CHANGES - REMAIN FLEXIBLE. These changes were based on first and second choices and also I was thinking of team planning and partners.
Kindergarten: Saleske, O'Mealy, Szura, Miller
First Grade: Tappmeyer, Bryant, Youngblood, Evans
Second Grade: Foley, Davis, Price, Hightower, Dunkle (CHAMPS Hamm and Davis)
Third Grade: Carroll, Barrett, Brady, Hamm
Fourth Grade: Craig, Hampton, Sikes, Davidson
Math IC
I have a few more people that need to schedule the Math IC observation time. These need to be completed by the end of April.
Stars and Wish:
Stars:
- Wow! I have seen some amazing guided math lessons and I love that we are meeting kids where they are and supporting their learning in math. The time you spend planning for small groups make the greatest impact with your students.
- Data rich teachers! I love that the teachers I ask about data related to their students can quickly reference data related to their students.
- Purposeful preparation for end of year assessments. I hear teachers planning and talking about standards that need to be still covered and reviewed for MAP and iReady - thank you!
Wish:
- Be thinking about your students and next year. Where would they thrive the most? What teaching style works best for that student? Do quick check in and observations of classrooms of grade level above yours to see style of teaching and learning that occurs to help guide your decision on best placements for next year.
Class Lists
I will explain the process to use in making class lists on April 19 with K-2 grade level team meeting and on May 3 at 3-4 grade level team meeting. Only the process will be explained and then your team will need to meet separately and work on class lists for next year.
Supply Lists
Please work with your grade level team to get me an updated supply list for next year. At our next grade level team meeting in April I will explain the process we will use for making class lists.
