Survey for "Michigan Learns Online" Portal
The Advisory Committee for the REMC Michigan Learns Online Portal is seeking information from educators who have used the Michigan Learns Online Portal. The information gathered from the survey will help guide the future direction of the portal. The survey will take less than 5 minutes to complete and will be open through May 5th.

Free Webinar Special for Teachers & Students: Time for Kids (TFK) Talks to Jane Goodall!
Presented by renowned chimpanzee researcher and conservationist Jane Goodall, with Jaime Joyce, Assistant Managing Editor, Education, TIME For Kids, and Laura Blackburn, Associate Editor, TIME For Kids
Monday, Apr. 20 at 1 p.m. Eastern Time
In this special webinar, students will hear from Dr. Jane Goodall, renowned primatologist and founder of both the Jane Goodall Institute, a global leader in the effort to protect chimpanzees and their habitat, and Roots & Shoots, an international environmental and humanitarian youth program. She was also selected by the United Nations Secretary-General to serve as a Messenger of Peace. Goodall will report on efforts to make the world a better place for people, animals, and the environment we all share.
During her presentation, she will also answer questions from students and teachers. Submit a question from your class on the registration form. Questions can also be submitted to: tfkasks4you@timeforkids.com.
TFK editors will provide participants with background information on Jane Goodall's work as a primatologist and conservationist. They will also give information about the African country Tanzania to build background for participants. The TFK supplement Around the World: Tanzania is available on TFK's website and is packed with information about the country's history and culture. During the presentation, TFK will also provide printable worksheets and graphic organizers to support learning about Dr. Goodall's research and mission.

This is an online program that participants will install, explore and apply up to fifteen new Google Apps and/or Chrome extensions that enable them to leverage the integration of Chromebooks in their classrooms.

In this online course participants will discover and explore a range of common and up-to-date social media platforms as well as establish channels that allow for powerful professional development and innovative leadership.
April 20, 2015: Personalized and Blended Learning for ALL Students
In this course, we will lay the groundwork for effective strategies that support professional growth and applications to student learning. Driving Question: How will I incorporate personalized and blended learning tools and strategies to meet student-learning needs?
April 20, 2015: Refining Curriculum with Deeper Learning in Mind
Participants will learn and apply best practices in project-, problem- and inquiry-based learning toward the development of a lesson, unit and/or assessment that they will deliver within and beyond their classrooms.
Statewide Teacher Technology Training (T3) Course Opportunity
The T3 course has been developed to build the capacity of Michigan educators to effectively plan and implement online assessments and "Any Time, Any Place, Any Way, Any Pace" learning through increasing technology proficiency. This statewide offering allows all Michigan educators to participate in the T3 course developed as part of the Technology Readiness Infrastructure Grant (TRIG) and the Classroom Readiness activity. Through a self-paced online experience, educators can learn more about the changes taking place with next generation online assessments, as well as give educators the skills to change their instruction in the classroom to meet the needs of their 21st century learners. While it is recommended that educators complete all 10 modules of the T3 course, they are able to enroll in only select modules that meet their specific needs. Note: Module 1 is required for all participants.

Open Enrollment Through June 30th, 2015
This is an open-access, self-paced online course. Enrollment begins immediately after registration and will be open through June 30th, 2015. This course will close on June 30th, 2015 and all coursework must be completed by 11:59PM on June 30th, 2015.
