As I walked through the halls and classrooms this week it was a reminder of what an amazing staff we have at Whiteley! We are in the first full week and students were busy diving into math, participating in literacy workshop lessons and working on writing. My favorite writing assignment was seeing students in sixth grade having to draw a monster after reading a descriptive writing piece from a peer. I love when teachers create enthusiasm within their lessons that connect students. It is also exciting to see our library is back open this year and classrooms were able to visit it this week. This is only a glimpse of what lies ahead for our students.

Lunch Supervisors and Program Assistants Needed

Our school and district are currently looking for lunch supervisors and program assistants. If you are interested in this opportunity please reach out to our assistant principal, Theresa Drogos.

We realize that we have many new families and want to remind parents that we ask you to not park in our parking lot when dropping off students in the morning, or picking students up at the end of the day. We need to utilize the parking lot for our staff when they arrive in the morning.

Recently, there was a separate email sent out about Curriculum Night. We have two nights that are designated by grade levels.
