Weekly school announcements are sent to students through their grade level Google Classrooms on Mondays. Parents can access the weekly student announcements on the school webpage or by clinking on this link, which is updated every Monday.

BCPS Nutrition Free/Reduced Meal Information
The application for Free/Reduced Meals will be available starting on Monday, July 11th on the BCPS Nutrition Free/Reduced Meal Applications and Resources Page.
All families are STRONGLY encouraged to fill out the application regardless of whether they believe they qualify or not, as the income guidelines and other determining factors change on an annual basis.

These applications are completed on an annual basis and paper applications are available upon request.
BCPS Transportation updates are provided below.
- Routes should be viewable by August 1st, 2022. Click on this bus information link to view your child's bus information. Let us know if any changes need to be made.
- Student Notes are reinstated this school year for students riding home to a stop different than his/her regular stop
- Students must bring a signed note from his/her parent verifying that permission is granted
- Students must bring the notes to the AP Office upon arrival at school.
- Permission will not be granted by Transportation Office directly, nor by individual bus drivers except in emergency situations

All Formals and Casuals must be taken by Lifetouch Studios.
All poses (casual and formal) must be chosen by Friday, November 18th, and this is
the LAST day to guarantee a formal and casual senior portrait in the yearbook.
No exceptions will be made!
Yearbook Prices
Yearbook Prices: You can order a yearbook online at www.yearbooksonsale.com
Back-to-school offer: $60 through October 22nd - FREE icons on the order form
Starting October 23rd, the yearbook price will be $60 without free icons.
Starting November 15th, the yearbook price will be raised to $70 for the remainder of
the school year until sold out. Make sure to order your yearbook early if you plan on
getting one.
Personalization and other items cost extra and are NOT included in the prices above.
Yearbooks are delivered in the fall of 2023 in order to include Prom and Graduation in
it. Yearbooks will be available for pick-up next summer during the Registration Dates.

Saber Award
The first SABER Award: The Friday Football Employee of the Week was recognized between the 1st and 2nd quarter at the first home football game on Friday, August 26. SABER stands for Sincerity, Authenticity, Benevolence, Empathy, and Responsibility to the school and the community. The student-athletes selected Ms. Charlotte Toliver, LBHS Building Manager, as the first recipient of the SABER Award. Congratulations to Ms. Toliver for this well-deserved recognition.

Mental Health
Data shows that the months between May and September are the most dangerous for young drivers. Youth of Virginia Speak Out (YOVASO) sponsors the Arrive Alive Campaign to encourage communities to talk about the risky behaviors associated with summertime. Check out their resources for parents
