WSCA Parent Meeting, March 13
Dear WSCA Parents:
While our children just recently celebrated their 100th day of school, we are rejoicing in the first 50 plus days of our unified school system. Some efficiencies have already been achieved and we are working diligently each day to ensure that the transition continues as smoothly as possible.
We know that many WSCA families are anxious to know reenrollment information for 2017-18. Thank you for your graciousness in allowing the CSAGH Board and Administration a few extra weeks to conduct a comprehensive financial review in order to recommend a financial plan in the best short and long-term interests of the school. We will share the details of the financial plan with the WSCA community on Monday, March 13 at 7 PM in the church sanctuary.
We hope you will prioritize this meeting and attend so that you can hear about our academic vision, spiritual focus, and financial plan for 2017-18. (I realize that the timing of this meeting is unfortunate for those families involved in the musical, and I sincerely apologize. Several factors made scheduling a March date quite difficult.)
Please note that childcare will be available for children up through 5th Grade during this meeting. It is provided by WSCA’s National Honor Society High School students in the Pre-Kindergarten room and the two Kindergarten rooms. There are accommodations for only 30 children, so please email the NHS Advisor, Paul Beardmore, at pbeardmore@westshorechristian.org to reserve a spot for your child/children. Please include their names and ages when reserving their spots. Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to seeing you on March 13!
In His Service,

Race for Education Information
Spring will be here before you know it as will our Race for Education (RFE). Our Race for Education is our largest fundraiser for WSCA and is vital to the life of our school. Our Race for Education provides an opportunity for you to invite your family, friends, neighbors, associates, and church family to partner with your family in developing, nurturing and equipping our children to positively influence the world for Christ. We will be asking you to provide the names, addresses and emails of those people who are important in your child’s life as we prepare for our upcoming Race for Education. We will be contacting them and inviting them to make a contribution to benefit West Shore Christian Academy.
Last year, West Shore Christian Academy raised $48,000 and our goal for the 2017 Race for Education is $60,000 which will help to provide the WSCA students with a rich learning experience every day. We trust that you will enthusiastically partner with us. Please prayerfully consider your role as a connection point between your child and those who would willingly invest in their education, as a volunteer in the weeks leading up to our event, as a volunteer on the day of the event, and a prayer partner.
Please note, once again this year, we will have the Lincoln Drive for Kids. Licensed drivers can test drive one of several Lincoln vehicles, for approximately 10 minutes, and in return, WSCA will receive a donation for each test drive taken. There is a potential to raise approximately $8,000 from the Lincoln Drive for Kids alone.
Please mark your calendars for our Friday, April 21st, Race for Education.
If you would like to volunteer for this important fundraiser, please email Rebecca Kipe at: rferaceday@westshorechristian.org.
