    COME TOGETHER IN PRAYER

PRAYER is a primary work of God's people. It is a vital connection to God where we can hear from, listen to, and respond to the Lord. We encourage you to pray for these requests during the week. "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayer." (1 Peter 3:12)

    ELDER OF THE WEEK

    PASTOR OF THE WEEK

    CHURCH OF THE WEEK
    • Desert Valley Adventist Church, 1200 N Santa Rosa Ave

Pray that we would learn how to better minister to the ever-changing generations and society around us. May we be instruments of love in our communities and may people see Jesus in everything we do.

There are more concerns within the body at Christ Community Church. Please come to the Lobby Counter on Sunday for a more complete and detailed list of the people who are in need of your prayers. Contact Lori Zaugra at the church office to update the Prayer List.

    MISSIONARY OF THE MONTH

Grace Adjekum, Wycliffe Bible Translators, London UK

Grace Adjekum has been promoting Bible Translation among the African and Caribbean churches in the UK since 2000. In 2004 she became paralyzed from the waist down as a result of an incident during surgery. Now, after years of recovery and physical therapy, Grace remains in a wheelchair, but has resumed work helping to administer the Wycliffe Training Program in London. Despite her very difficult circumstances, Grace pushes on through her physical struggles, always toward her Savior, knowing that He has much Kingdom work for her to accomplish.

    PRAISE:

    • Just over a year ago, ethnic conflict erupted between the Anufo and a neighbouring language group. Praise that literacy and translation work has resumed, and the Pentateuch is finally printed in the language area. We are currently consultant checking 1 Samuel. Please pray that there will be lasting peace, and normal life will be experienced by all throughout the region.
    • Praise God, there is relative peace now, and for the health of the project workers and their families, despite the trauma they went through during the fighting.
    • Praise God for my 2 granddaughters; Sandra and Theresa. Pray that they will follow the Lord despite life challenges and new environments.

    PRAYER:

    • Pray for God’s wisdom, understanding and insight for both translators and consultants that we will render a translation true to the original in the language. Pray that the printed Pentateuch will be used in the churches and in the communities.
    • Please pray for healing and strength and energy for me in the midst of my ongoing health issues.
