Half The Sky, written by Nicholas D. Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, is a biography about many different women's personal stories about mistreatment and abuse in foreign countries. The authors travel around to desolate and poorer countries to learn and be educated about the disrespect that women recieve from the men and citizens in their country. The personal stories range from abuse, prostitution, mortality during child birth, to being abandoned as a child and being sold off to an older man at a young age to get married.

These authors make it their mission to inform every reader about these constant problems that exist in many of today's countries.
