What is Hype Day?
We will have short blocks throughout the day taking the students through different exercises and activities that resemble a day of band camp.
Tips for Hype Day:
- wear athletic attire (gym shorts, light colored shirts - dry fit shirts work the best)
- tennis shoes are required. Please make sure you have a good pair of durable shoes. you put a lot of miles on them this season. Converse or vans are not considered athletic shoes, please plan accordingly.
- Bring at least 1/2 gallon of water in an insulated cooler. It gets very hot in North Texas and we want to make sure you are taken care of for the day.
- Bring a smile and positive attitude! This is going to be a very new experience for a lot of the students.
- Eat breakfast: make sure you eat a normal helping of breakfast; items to exclude from breakfast: Dairy, Sugary snack - pop tarts, cereal, make sure you have protein and energy (not soda or coffee) in your body for the day
