Principal Message
We are here, the final week of the 1st Semester. Take a moment to think back over your semester and what you have learned about yourself as an educator. What encouraging memories do you have? What did you see as your biggest accomplishment?
Our students have been demonstrating what they have learned and how they have grown academically every day over the last four months. This week is an opportunity for all students to show what they know during our Fall ACPs. The ACPs provide us valuable information as we gauge where we are at the half way point or overall mastery for semester classes. ACP allow us a clearer picture on where our students met proficiency, excelled, and what requires intervention. It gives us valuable insight into our own instructional practices and how to best improve to meet the needs of our learners. Thank you in advance for all you will do this week to create the optimal testing environment for our Rangers! You set the tone and I appreciate everyone's awareness of their impact and cooperation as we set them up for success this last week.
I want to say thank you with all I have, for bringing your "A" game everyday for our students. I will always say this is the most important work of our time and you are contributing to shaping the future of our community, our city, our state, our nation, and our world. What they have learned and how they have grown is profound and everyone at ARMS contributes to that journey.
This is the last Legend of 2015 and I wish everyone a very restful, fun, reflective, and glorious winter break. I appreciate each of your for what you do for our Rangers, the love, compassion, and support you show to them and your colleagues, is inspiring! ARMS is a phenomenal place to be and each of you contribute to who we are! To the most deserving staff in DISD, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy your time away and rejuvenate yourself.
Ranger Proud!!

Mechanical ARMS Robotic Games 12/11
With that, our awesome team, the Mechanical ARMS, participated in four events: Robotic Games, Service Project, Core Values, and Robot Design.
At the awards ceremony, they were selected to participate in the 2nd Round North Texas FLL Qualifier to be held in January. This gives the team a second opportunity to be able to compete at state regionals. There are over 300 teams participating in this leg of the journey . . . and our kids won a spot to continue. That's simply amazing!
Team Member are: Angel Saucedo (8th), Logan Canto (7th), Valeria Carvajal (8th), Angelica Carvajal (7th), Simon Warden (8th), Iginio Ramierz (8th), Leodon Villegas (7th), Jesus Martinez (7th), Issac Green (8th), and Frida Saucedo (7th).
