SENIOR AWARDS NIGHT
Senior Awards Night will be held May 17, 2023 at 7:30pm at Joel Wirth Stadium. Please be sure to complete the Senior Exit Survey and let us know if you are planning to attend! We’d like to recognize all your hard work and accomplishments and want to ensure we have correct information. Thank you Class of 2023!

April 5th ~ ACT Aspire 9th grade & AZSCI for 11th grade. Late start at 11:40 for all other grades.

April 7th ~ NO SCHOOL FOR SPRING HOLIDAY.
April 12th -13th ~ AASA testing for 7th & 8th grade part 1.
April 19th -20th ~ AASA testing for 7th & 8th grade part 2.
May 1st - 12th ~ AP testing for registered students.

Attending Summer school requires a recommendation from the students counselor.
However, counselors are unable to register students.
Parents/Guardians must do this through Eleyo for in person summer school and COA for online summer school.
EVIT REGISTRATION IS ONGOING
The 2023-2024 enrollment application has been open since November. Programs close once they reach capacity so please make sure you apply before space runs out. Here is the link to the online application ~ https://www.evit.com/cms/one.aspx?pageId=20597637
When applying online, the following required documents will need to be uploaded to complete the application process (if you need help accessing these documents please email Mrs. W. at waaramaa.stephanie@cusd80.com)

8th GRADE FORMAL!
8th GRADE FIELD TRIP TO MAIN EVENT!!
The fee for the field trip will be $ 28.00. Included in the fee ~
- All Access wristbands (bowling and shoe rental, laser tag/gravity ropes/pool/shuffleboard)
- 2 slices of pizza and a drink
- $10 fun card
- Transportation to and from event
Students will be picked up from Casteel at 9am and return back to school by 1:20pm.
Permission slips will be handed out in their Social Studies class and payment can be made through the parent portal in Infinite Campus.
PERMISSION SLIPS AND PAYMENT ARE DUE NO LATER THAN FRIDAY APRIL 14TH, 2023.

COLLEGE AND CAREER NEWS:
It’s Scholarship Season!!! If you’re planning to attend College or a Vocational School, there is still time to work on SCHOLARSHIPS!!
CGCC Presidents’ Honors Scholarship is now open!
High-achieving, recent high school students have the opportunity for a deeply enriching college experience in the CGCC Honors Program. Plus, if you’re graduating high school with an unweighted GPA of at least 3.25, you can take advantage of the Presidents’ Honors Scholarship. The scholarship pays for full-time tuition for up to 15 credit hours (plus the $15 registration fee) per semester for up to four consecutive semesters.

FAFSA NEXT STEPS INFORMATION~
Once you have submitted your FAFSA, be sure to sign back on to make sure your FAFSA was processed correctly and to access your SAR (Student Aid Report). Please visit the Fafsa Next Steps website https://studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa/review-and-correct for information on what happens after you have submitted your FAFSA, how to check the status of your FAFSA, what to do if selected for verification and more.
If you have been notified that you have been selected for verification, this is an additional, required step to complete the financial aid process at the universities. Students who have been notified must complete the FAFSA Verification steps and submit information to the universities to which they have been admitted, as directed by each school, in order to receive FAFSA benefits. Please contact the financial aid office at each college if you have questions.
UPDATES FROM OUR SOCIAL WORKER - MRS. WILLIAMS
MINDFULNESS ROOM IS COMING TOGETHER!
Hailey Schramm, Sofia Pagano, Tea Safcik, and Madison Hodges completed a mural for our mindfulness room. They did an amazing job! This room is really starting to come together, and I am excited for this resource to be available for our students. Although this room is not yet complete, it is still available for students to utilize when needed.
