Allies in Diversity Present to Their Peers What it Means To Be Inclusive of All People
PTA Update
Hello SMS families!
I would like to extend a big thank you to everyone that came to our installation luncheon! I especially would like to thank Sharon David for organizing and putting it all together, it’s always nice to have lunch with friends. Congratulations to Mr. Vukovich and Mr. Port on your retirement!
Another big thank you to Kelly Clark and Mary Bender who put together an amazing week of goodies for staff appreciation, however, without donations from all of you it wouldn’t be possible! Thank you!
Holocaust Survivor Speaks to SMS Students
A big thanks to a sweetheart of a lady, Erika Gold, and the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage for coming to share their life experiences. Erika had quite a powerful story to tell as she is a survivor of the Holocaust. We were honored to have her speak to our 8th grade class.

In addition, SCS will offer Middle School and High School courses online for credit recovery (June 10-July 3, 2019) Monday through Thursday (AM). All courses are online with open lab hours in the mornings for teachers to meet with students and assist with questions. These lab hours are mandatory for middle school students and optional for high school students. Registration forms will be available on the district website in the coming month. The summer school coordinator is Mr. Steve Diedrick (not to be mistaken for Mr. Deitrick, the MS Principal): sdiedrick@scsmustangs.org . Here is the updated website for summer school.
We will be in contact soon with families of students who we feel would benefit from remedial online courses over the summer.
