Welcome to our CTS Snapshot - a weekly celebration update. We are delighted to share with parents and carers alike student triumphs at Corby Technical School. We are proud of every student and every success they have - please feel free to share with us any achievements they might have.

  • Mr Godfrey has nominated Ashley 9S for a great attitude to learning in Triple Science.
  • Miss Watt has nominate Jalal 10C for an excellent start in German.
  • Mrs Ferns has nominated her Year 11 Mathematicians for a great start to the new school year.
  • Mr Cox has nominated Year 9 students Alyssa, Summer, Kayleigh, Aidan, Dragos and Shaylan for having a really strong start in their 1st GCSE Drama lesson.
  • Mr Bidwell has nominated Year 7 students Rebecca and Talia and Year 8 student Lana for their amazing skills in Food Technology.
  • Mr Harley has nominated Year 10 student Aleksander who has made excellent progress with in Engineering using the milling machine for the engineering tool clamp he is making.
  • Miss Kidner has nominated Alfie H 8CO and Angelo B 8CA for helping in the library after school this week.
  • Mr Gourlay has nominated Year 13 student Krystian for mentoring GCSE students this week in Computer Science.
  • Mr Bidwell has nominated Kent 7ST for great questions in Geography this week.
  • Mr McRae-Smith has nominated Year 10 German students for a postive start to the new school year.
  • Mrs Hopkins has nominated Year 11 student Oliver for his hard work and positive attitude in History.
  • Mr Horne has nominated Year 8 student Daisy for a good presentation of the nets of 3D shapes in Maths.
  • Miss Grieves would like to nominate our new Year 7 students who have settled in well to school life at CTS. Well done to you all.

Attendance Matters

Every single day a student is absent from school equates to a day lost of learning. At Corby Technical School we pride ourselves in maintaining excellent attendance. Our target is to achieve and maintain a whole school attendance of above 96.5%. We will be giving you weekly updates on our whole school attendance, the tutor group and house who achieved the highest attendance this week.

Reminders:

  • We are holding our annual Celebration Evening on Wednesday 12th September from 6.00pm onwards, if you have received a letter please return your reply slip to school reception.
  • We will be holding our Open Events for Year 6 students on Tuesday 18th September and Thursday 27th September with sessions at 5.30pm and 7.00pm on both evenings. No appointments are necessary.
